I help people heal from chronic pain using cutting edge therapy techniques, and I often incorporate walking sessions into therapy to deepen integration of what is discussed during session.

I move beyond talk therapy to help people learn to regulate their nervous system, trust themselves, develop positive relationships, and build self-confidence. I can help you understand and heal from your trauma, anxiety, and pain. My approach is gentle, empowering, and supportive. I am also certified in Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE).

If you struggle with self-criticism, loneliness, fear, or anxiety about an uncertain future. you're not alone. Many people have trouble finding a sense of self-worth or establishing inner peace, but we all have the power to heal from painful experiences. My passion is helping people on this journey. I look forward to connecting with you.

About Me

I decided I wanted to become a nature-based therapist while I was working as a field guide for a wilderness therapy program, where I witnessed the healing power of nature and community for teenagers and young adults struggling with addiction, trauma, and a wide range of other issues. After studying English Literature and Studio Art at Skidmore College for my undergraduate degree, I graduated from the School of Social Work at the University of Utah in 2011 with a Masters in Clinical Social Work. Since then, I have worked at a rape crisis center, as a therapist with inmates in jail, in community mental health, and in a program that provides in-home therapy for older adults. My private practice allows me to do the work I love in a nature-based setting. The wilderness has been an incredibly important part of my own life, and I am immensely grateful that I’ve found my way into doing this work in the setting I love most.

I work with clients who want to stop feeling controlled by symptoms of anxiety, trauma, depression, and chronic pain. I have worked with survivors of multiple traumas including sexual assault, child abuse, interpersonal violence, war trauma, and torture. I also work with postpartum women who feel themselves drowning under the weight of new responsibilities, and who want to feel like themselves again. I help men and women recognize and heal from the effects of limiting, toxic cultural ideas about their worth and who they should be as humans based on their gender. I also enjoy working with LGBTQ people.
